Scholarship, Stewards, and Human Rights committees. Other committees may be formed as needed and information will be posted on bulletin boards requesting volunteers. More information about these committees can be found on the Committees page. If you would

is the duty of every member to stay informed about issues affecting
their employment at The Blade. There are four quarterly meetings held in January, April, July, and October, where members
can find out the latest information and ask questions of the
board in a formal setting. These are usually held at the Goodwill Building at 626 N. Huron St., Suite A. Meeting notices are distributed and posted in advance.
Guild members should also read the Guild’s periodic FYIs.
Check the Guild
boards located throughout the building, or go to the Guild Updates page for PDF files.
You may also elect to have FYIs and Updates emailed to your personal email account. If you wish to receive these notices, call or email the Guild office to verify your email address.
Stewards: Stewards play a vital role in advising
members of their rights and responsibilities as union members.
They are the first line of information for new members. Each
member should know who his or her steward is. To become a steward,
please contact an executive board member.
